The United States supports the WHO Covid-19 origin investigation

The US State Department said that it is not advisable to draw conclusions about Covid-19's origin and stated that it supports the investigation conducted by WHO.

The World Health Organization (WHO) investigation delegation in Wuhan on Feb. 9 said they have not found the origin of the nCoV yet, but added that the hypothesis that it came from the laboratory was "extremely unlikely.

The State Department said it is awaiting the results of a full investigation from WHO.

The administration of former US President Donald Trump accused China of hiding information when a new epidemic broke out in the country's Wuhan city, even claiming that the virus was spread deliberately, highly forcing Beijing to insist.

While not believing in the China lab-rooted nCoV hypothesis, Price agrees with criticism that Beijing hides information.

"It is clear to me that China, at least in the past, did not have the necessary transparency we need, and more importantly, the international community needs, so that we can stop this pandemic from happening again.

The WHO investigation comes after the United States has spearheaded an international effort that requires a thorough understanding of the origin of nCoV.

Beijing is said to be working to eliminate the "scandals" about its early-stage Covid-19 treatment, which has been criticized by international public opinion as being delayed and lack of transparency.
