Perfect Peeler, Plenty Sharp
This is the easiest and fastest way in the world to peel potatoes. I was using a knife before but it took longer and I was losing too much of the potato itself. Thanks to the guard on this, that's not the problem. I always cut myself so I didn't like using knives because the risk is higher. Ironically, I cut myself with this because I got over confident and was peeling them so fast that I sliced a finger holding the potato when I came down too fast. I don't think that would be a problem for most people, I'm just *special*. It was user error rather than design error. It reinforced to me how sharp this actually is... it's not dull like some people say. It's a great Peeler and I would buy again. It definitely gets the job done and fast! Just don't get tooooo confident. ;)

Toughest peeler I've used
This little tool is comfortable to hold and peels the toughest peels (winter squash, rutabagas) as well as the thinnest (kiwis, potatoes) very easily. I put mine in the dishwasher and it's come out fine. I didn't want to have to hand dry a blade as sharp as this, I'd peel off my hand.....be careful. But it works really well and I'm happy I bought it.

Best peeler ever
I love it! This is the first time I ever bought a Y peeler and wasn't sure if it would be easy to use or not. This is so easy to use and so sharp! I peeled 10 apples and it was a breeze to do. The worst thing I had to do was worry that my nails would get in the way (which they don't, but this is sharp enough to nick them for sure). This gadget just removes the peel itself so almost my entire apple was intact. I could kick myself for being so lazy to not buy a peeler sooner because I can't believe how much produce I have wasted by cutting off the skin instead of using a peeler. It comes with a little plastic covering for the blades which I know I will lose :) If you want to come into the 20th century - and not be so lazy - you won't be disappointed at all in getting this peeler. It's super sharp which makes it fast, it's easy to grip and it does a fantastic job.

Best Peeler
I bought this mainly to use on tough butternut squash. It does the job very well. I have used it multiple times and it is still very sharp. Holding it took a little getting used to because I had previously used peelers held from the side (not a Y shape). It's also great sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples. I would definitely recommend!

Try a Y Peeler - You won't regret it!
Well worth the money and spend half the time peeling. I don't know what the deal is with all of the expensive peelers that are normal peelers with a big handle on them and the peeler works lousy. This one is different. Never had a Y peeler before and now I know what I've been missing. So much easier, controllable and faster. Sharp blade and easy flat storage.

The Absolute Best Peeler I've Ever Used!
This is the Best! I can't believe how great these work on sweet potatoes! Carrots are a breeze! In fact, they cut my potato peeling time in half! I used this to peel apples, fantastic! And butternut squash, I never had a better tool for peeling that. Can't wait to try it on cucumbers and zucchini. This is one peeler everyone should have!

Fantastic! Just what I needed!
I have peeled potatoes for years, but I am 64 years old and my hand hurt so bad, if I use a knife to peel potatoes. This is an amazing peeler. Its so easy. Its just slides across the potato. You don't to use any pressure at all. Take it slow. This is sharpe. I love it.!

Dangerously sharp! Great peeler, but beware!
This must be the world's sharpest peeler. I share this as a cautionary tale! My husband sliced a portion of his finger off using this peeler and had to get his finger tip cauterized. After reviewing some other comments, the engineering team may want to take a look at this design. It's incredibly sharp and does its job, but yikes! Be careful using it.

OXO for the win!
I like the OXO brand [even tho not arthritic/etc.myself] and buy for myself and others. As you can see, it has a raised 'spoke' one side to protect fingers (and works quite well). Be aware- this is NOT an ambidextrous tool- made for 'righties' (which I am). Very high quality build, and the 'blades are VERY SHARP- it comes with a semi-inconvenient plastic cover for the blades [I imagine ANYONE with 'arthritis will struggle to remove, much less reinstalling it]- this may be solely for shipping purposes however. The blades seem to hold their edge very well [using the shield]. Highly recommended! Light-years better than the ones my mum/gran' used to buy....

Always loved this peeler! Longevity is amazing too
We've been using our last oxo peeler for over three years. The old one is still in great shape and I'm using that one everyday. I just wanted to buy an extra one just in case. But three years is a great life span for a peeler, and it's still going strong. Needless to say, This peeler peels great. I have never found a better peeler than an oxo peeler. I highly recommend this peeler to everybody
